For mission-critical or heavy industrial assets, we deploy dedicated technical transport using custom flight cases to ensure your equipment arrives at our Dublin or Doncaster hubs in the exact condition it left your facility.

Safe Packaging Protocol
Incorrect packaging is the #1 cause of irreparable damage. Projector optical blocks are suspended on delicate mountings; a single drop in a thin box can shatter them.
Double Box
Place the unit in its original box (if available), then place that box inside a larger shipping carton with 2 inches of padding on all sides.
No Loose Items
Remove power cables, remotes, and mounting brackets. These can scratch the lens or crack the casing during transit.
Label Clearly
Attach the RepairTech RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number clearly on the outside of the box.
WEEE Directive Compliance
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive mandates the safe disposal of electronic goods. Projectors are particularly hazardous due to:
- Mercury (Hg): Found in high-pressure arc lamps. Highly toxic if crushed in landfill.
- Lead & Cadmium: Found in older solder and circuit boards.
- Lithium Batteries: Fire risk if not processed correctly.
RepairTech provides a certified destruction service. We issue a Certificate of Destruction for every batch, ensuring your organization meets its environmental and GDPR obligations (destroying on-board memory).
Our Recycling Process
Harvest
Viable parts (Lenses, Fans, PSUs) are stripped to repair other units, supporting the Circular Economy.
Separate
Metals, plastics, and glass are separated into distinct streams.
Refine
Raw materials are sent to specialized refineries to be melted down and reused in new manufacturing.
